Andressa holds a PhD and a MSc in Education in Applied Linguistics from the Universidade Estadual de Londrina, and was a visiting researcher at the University of Georgia, in the Department of Language and Literacy Education. She also holds a Specialist degree in Language Teacher Training from the State University of Maringá (UEM), and degrees in Modern Foreign Languages/English (UEL) and Early childhood education (UEL). She is currently an assistant Professor at Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF), Coordinator of CITE (UFF Writing Centre) and Vice-Coordinator of the Language Laboratory (Lablínguas/UFF). Her research interests include English language teacher development, bi/multilingual education and policies of internationalisation in higher education. She has extensive experience as a teacher, mainly in primary and secondary education, as a coordinator of institutional programmes, and as a professor and lecturer in higher education.
